Project Spotlight: Hangar B Line Shack

Olicon recently wrapped up a renovation at Business Jet Center, converting existing office space into a new support area for the aviation facility staff.

The renovated Hangar B Line Shack was designed to support daily operations by providing improved work areas, staff support spaces, storage, break areas, and access to the hangar environment.

The project scope included new flooring, framing, sheetrock and paint, ceiling grid and tile, millwork, stone tops, mechanical work, plumbing and electrical relocations, storefront doors, and concrete and railing improvements.

Projects like this require coordination around existing airport operations, owner needs, code requirements, security, access, and the practical details that allow the space to function well after turnover.

We are proud of the finished result and appreciate the subcontractors, vendors, and project team members who helped bring this space together.

Project progress continues at the ACT-ion Battery Technologies project.

Our team has been working on this project since February 2026, and we are now moving into the final stages of construction.

This project has included several unique challenges, detailed coordination, and a high level of attention across multiple trades. From process equipment and piping to electrical infrastructure, lab spaces, and final installation details, each phase has required careful planning and communication in the field.

We want to recognize our subcontractors, vendors, and project team for their continued effort and problem-solving throughout the process. Their work has been critical in helping move this project toward completion.

Renovation work requires more than simply building what is shown on the plans.

It requires planning around existing conditions, active operations, staff, residents, visitors, inspections, safety, noise, access, and the unexpected issues that come with working inside an existing facility.

Since 1988, Olicon Inc. has had the privilege of serving commercial clients throughout Texas.

Over the years, our work has included senior living communities, aviation facilities, healthcare facilities, churches, schools, nonprofit organizations, tenant finish-outs, renovations, and other commercial projects.

A lot has changed in construction since 1988, but the fundamentals have not. Owners still need a contractor who communicates clearly, protects the schedule, respects the budget, solves problems, and stands behind the work.

That is the standard Olicon continues to work toward on every project.
