These are pictures of a furnace exhaust pipe; carbon monoxide was being pumped into the home’s crawlspace. This heater was “inspected“ by one of the big HVAC companies in December and the homeowner was told nothing about the life safety issues present.

Even the best technicians miss things from time to time, but this one is egregious. Every home, especially ones with gas, should have working carbon monoxide alarms found at big box retailers, and online sources like Amazon.
