In architecture, a parti model is a study of an idea. It holds the core intent and guides everything that follows.

My wife and I met in an architecture design studio, and 30 years ago, I gave her a cube I made as a proposal of marriage. Each piece was meant to represent something on its own, but also part of something larger. When the model is opened the peaces form other designs opportunities as the ring is revealed inside.

Life has evolved in ways we both couldn’t have imagined, but we’ve continued to build a life together, piece by piece, along with family, and the people close to us.

30 years later, the idea still holds true.
