Mosquitos don’t need a lot of water to breed. 🌊

Any standing water on your property can be a host to hundreds of mosquitoes. 😱

Check for standing water in gutters, wheelbarrows, and plant holders all around your yard weekly.

Dump it. Drain it. And if you notice mosquitoes flying around, give us a call, and we’ll help you take back your yard.

🚨 Tick season has arrived in the Berkshires.

If you've lived here long enough, you know exactly what that means. 😫

Ticks are a real health risk for your family and your pets every time you step outside. Most people don’t realize that ticks actually arrive before mosquitoes and stick around longer.

Once ground temperatures hit 45°F, they're already active and looking for a host. With the warmer weather, they're definitely thriving!

When you contact us for tick control, we start with a full lawn treatment, hitting where the ticks hide in your yard. Then we follow that up with our 5-step barrier treatment to keep them out all season long. 👌

Don't wait until you find one to do something about it.

When it comes to the big freeze, ticks don’t die from cold outright in the winter months; they can adapt to avoid it. Additionally, snow does not kill them. It can actually help them by acting as an insulator. Ticks can survive long into the winter months so long as they can find a place to cozy up. If you have piles of leaves leftover from fall or live in a place that experiences heavy snowfall, you can bet there will be some ticks hiding out. For survival, most ticks will burrow to escape the cold. They can also decrease the amount of water in their cells to stop from freezing. They’ve developed a natural anti-freeze called “cryoprotectant,” and have thus found a way to escape the deep freeze.

Be careful listening to myths when removing ticks as they can be harmful and ineffective. ❌
In fact, the best way to remove a tick is to use thin point tweezers and grab the tick as close to the base of its mouth and pull straight up and out. ✅

FYI: It is best to avoid folklore remedies such as burning a tick with a match or smothering it with soap or essential oils. Methods such as these can result in an increased risk of transmitting a tickborne disease. 🩺
