⚡ Happy International Electricians Day! ⚡

When we told Paul (our owner) that today was International Electricians Day, he didn’t believe us.

After all, every day is Electricians Day when you’re chasing service calls, pulling wire, and answering, “Can you just take a quick look at this?” 😆

As it turns out, it’s a real thing. The holiday originated in Europe in 1986 when Polish and French electrical engineering organizations established a day to honor André-Marie Ampère, one of the founders of electromagnetism and the scientist behind the unit of electric current, the ampere.

Over the years, the observance spread beyond Europe and became a day to recognize electricians, electrical engineers, linemen, technicians, and everyone who helps keep the power on.

So whether you’ve celebrated it before or are just hearing about it today (like our owner 😏), here’s to the people who keep our homes, businesses, and communities powered.

We were so happy to attend the Peter J. Benner ‘92 Job Fair again this year!

It’s always great connecting with students, sharing what a career in the trades can look like, and talking about opportunities in the electrical field.

Opportunities like this are a great reminder of how important it is to support and invest in the next generation.
