A man and his dog were walking along a road. The man was enjoying the scenery, when it suddenly occurred to him that he was dead. He remembered dying, and that the dog walking beside him had been dead for years. He wondered where the road was leading them...

After a while, they came to a high, white stone wall along one side of the road. It looked like fine marble. At the top of a long hill, it was broken by a tall arch that glowed in the sunlight. When he was standing before it he saw a magnificent gate in the arch that looked like mother-of-pearl, and the street that led to the gate looked like pure gold. He and the dog walked toward the gate, and as he got closer, he saw a man at a desk to one side.

When he was close enough, he called out, "Excuse me, where are we?"
"This is Heaven, sir." the man answered.
"Would you happen to have some water?" the man asked.
"Of course, sir. Come right in, and I'll have some ice water brought right up!"
The man gestured, and the gate began to open. "Can my friend," gesturing toward his dog, "come in, too?" the traveler asked. "I'm sorry, sir, but we don't accept pets."

The man thought a moment and then turned back toward the road and continued the way he had been going with his dog.

After another long walk, and at the top of another long hill, he came to a dirt road leading through a farm gate that looked as if it had never been closed. There was no fence. As he approached the gate, he saw a man inside, leaning against a tree and reading a book.

"Excuse me!" he called to the man. "Do you have any water?"
"Yeah, sure, there's a pump over there, come on in!"
"How about my friend here?" the traveler gestured to the dog.
"There should be a bowl by the pump."

They went through the gate, and sure enough, there was an old-fashioned hand pump with a bowl beside it. The traveler filled the water bowl and took a long drink himself, then he gave some to the dog. When they were full, he and the dog walked back toward the man who was standing by the tree.

"What do you call this place?" the traveler asked. "This is Heaven." he answered. "Well, that's confusing." the traveler said. "The man down the road said that was Heaven, too!"
"Oh, you mean the place with the gold street and pearly gates? Nope, that's Hell."
"Doesn't it make you mad for them to use your name like that?"
"No, we're just happy that they screen out the folks who would leave their best friends behind..."

Can I get an AMEN in the comments, if you read to the end?

On this, the 158th anniversary of Juneteenth, and 160 and a half years after the issuance The Emancipation Proclamation, we celebrate the liberation of multitudes of human beings held in the bo***ge of servitude here in the United States. It is a day to celebrate, but also to reflect.
In our reflection, let is not forget that the institution of slavery was neither born in the US, nor did it end here, globally. It has existed for millenia, and persists to this day. There are more victims of forced labor & human trafficking in the world today than there ever were in the Americas between the 17th & 19th centuries. If you factor in the billions of people shackled by wage & debt slavery, everyday people, then slavery is THE biggest business on the planet.
Make no mistake, while you may go home everyday to your "own" home, to the banks that hold the notes on your possessions & the corporations for which you toil, you ARE property. Your social security number IS your inventory identification or UPC.
The philosopher, Voltaire, characterized the Third Servile War, the Spartacus War, as the "only just war in history" and it rages on, to this very day. For all of you "forced to toil & suffer, so that those of coin & position can see their fortunes grow beyond need or purpose" there is but one path, one struggle...
NO WAR, BUT CLASS WAR!
...
AND !

Spartacus' final words to his army of slave rebels before advancing against Marcus Crassus and his Roman legions in a final battle.

It is our mission to provide, to each & every customer, and on each & every project, regardless of scale, scope or cost, an unparalleled experience in quality, service & esthetic. We understand that one's home is their single greatest investment, and we strive always to make whatever we touch in your home to be the very best thing about your home, whether it is a full remodel or simple repair. When someone contracts and pays a professional to provide a service, one expects that the job done by said professional be just that: professional, and certainly as good or better than they could have done themselves, or why hire someone else to do it? From the moment our estimator enters your home until the last speck of dust is swept away, we approach your job as if we were doing it for our own parent, sibling or child, and take great care & pride. We are only as good as our worst work, and when we put the SAMSARA stamp on it, we stand by it, 100%. When "good enough" simply isn't good enough, call us & allow us to show you what we mean.
