🌿 Fall planting tip reminder! 🌿

As you’re planting this season, keep in mind that some plants may be rootbound in their pots. It’s super important to loosen up those roots before planting—if you don’t, your plant may dry out faster, and its roots might keep circling around the rootball instead of spreading into the soil.

We like to loosen the roots with my hands if we can, or use a tool like a knife if they’re really tight. If the roots are circling at the bottom of the pot, loosen them up, and in extreme cases, either make slits on the sides of the rootball or even trim the bottom off if it’s a solid mass of roots. Doing this helps the plant recover faster and settle into its new home.
