Town of Dartmouth residents....Total water ban! No watering your lawns until further notice. Please shut off your controller clocks and maybe shut off the water supply in the basement to be sure it won't go on. Other towns have some sort of watering rules in effect too. We do have lists in our office. If you don't know about your town and any water bans your town may have, give us a call and if we don't know, we will find out for you!

To my customers who use a well for their water supply...don't forget to clean your filters out so your system runs efficiently! We've had lots of calls from customers who are saying their sprinkler heads are not working correctly. Only to go and see a very clogged, dirty filter. Here's some steps to clean it out!

1. Close the top lever of the backflow to shut off the water supply to the system.

2. Open the red handle on the filter. This will relieve the water pressure in the filter itself.

3. Unscrew the filter housing

4. Take apart the housing and the mesh cartridge insert and clean thoroughly.

5. When done, and this is VERY IMPORTANT, put the mesh cartridge back in FIRST. Make sure it's secure and then screw in the housing in on top of that. Never put the cartridge in the housing and then screw it back on the filter. NEVER NEVER! If you do, then all the debris will just flow right in to the valves and we will need to come and clean out all your valves. Very costly and time consuming.

Turn the red handle on the filter, then turn the lever on the backflow and you are good to go! You will see a difference in how your system works!
