A few steps from the main house, but it feels like its own little getaway.

This Cape Cod-inspired ADU was designed to be a cozy retreat surrounded by the garden. French doors open to the outdoors, a custom window seat creates the perfect reading nook, and every detail was carefully considered to make the space feel welcoming and comfortable. One of our favorite features is the built-in window seat, which adds both storage and a place to pause and enjoy the view.

Cape Cod inspired charm meets Davis backyard living.

This custom ADU was designed to feel like it has always belonged on the property. From the soft gray siding and white trim to the classic lantern lighting and blue French doors, every detail contributes to a timeless cottage feel. The matching garden shed creates continuity across the landscape, while the winding stone path and layered plantings guide you naturally from the main home to this inviting retreat.

Many ADUs are built with only a basic function in mind, and can feel out of place on your property when built without the context of the home you live in. We believe they should meet your unique needs while also enhancing the character of the property, feeling intentional from every angle.

This Streng Brothers home received a full transformation of its common areas to create a more connected, light-filled way of living. We opened the layout, brought in as much natural light as possible, and carefully preserved the architectural elements that make Streng homes so distinctive.

The original freestanding brick fireplace remains at the heart of the design. It now anchors the living room while keeping open sightlines throughout the space, allowing the kitchen, dining area, and living room to flow effortlessly together.
