💪 Throwback Project Spotlight! 💦

Four years ago, we tackled a tricky combo — basement leaks + poor grading — and turned it into a success story!

We cut out and removed about 8 yards of soil to create a proper swale (instead of a negative slope pushing water toward the house). Then we lined it with rubber roofing, attached it to the home with aluminum starter, and reworked the drain lines for the downspouts.

The black corrugated pipe was temporary until the new gutters were installed — and it all came together beautifully. Finished off with 6 yards of 4A natural stone for function and curb appeal. 🪨🌿

Still holding up strong today — proof that quality work lasts! 💧🏡

💪🔨 We wrapped up the outside waterproofing like the pros we are!

Got a little sticky with some tar, flexed our muscles helping a drain pipe lead into the sump crock 💧, then put up the barrier, added a bed of pea gravel, and tucked the dirt back in place.

Once it all settles, we’ll smooth it out—because yes, we even put the tree back where it belongs! 🌳😅

Hard work, a little mess, and a lot of satisfaction watching it all come together! 🙌

👷‍♀️ Today’s forecast: 100% chance of mud!
We’re waterproofing the wall, which obviously means digging giant holes and pretending we’re kids again.
Tomorrow: tar day! 🛢️ Let the fun (and the mess) continue! 😂

Solving basement leaks while landscaping. Cut out and removed about 8 yards to create a swail, instead of a negative slope. Lined it with rubber roofing. Attached to the house with aluminum starter. Reworked the drain lines for down spouts. The black cortigated will be removed with new gutters, its temporary. Finally installed 6 yards of 4a natural stone.

Did alot of small things on this project, but the major thing was re-building this retaining wall that collapsed on one end, and was torn out in the center for a new septic.

So this is kind of a unique one. It is pretty rare we dig up poured walls, however the customer requested to have to cracks sealed from the outside. Most people only have them epoxy injected from inside. This one has epoxy gel coat over the cracks, tarred, wrapped, new draintile, with window drains that didnt exist before. Now it can settle thru a bunch of rains before it can finished. This is how to waterproof correctly.

After couple month wait on rain to settle the backfill, finally was able to put this yard back together. We had excavated the one wall, lifted the house frame off the foundation, and pushed the wall back straight. Then steel supports were added to secure it. The wall had a 2 1/2" bow in the center. Once that was completed it was waterproofed from the outside. (The correct way to do it).
