May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month. For roofing professionals and others working outdoors, protecting your skin from harmful UV exposure is critical. Wear sunscreen, stay covered, and schedule regular skin checks.

This month raises awareness about the dangers of skin cancer and focuses on sun protection and early detection. Working outside raises an individual’s risk of nonmelanoma skin cancers by 60%, so it is important construction workers know how to protect themselves.

Last night, the Ohio Roofing Contractors Association celebrated a major milestone with the ORCA Past Presidents Dinner honoring 40 years of the association and the leaders who helped shape it along the way.

Thank you to all of the past presidents, members, and industry professionals who have dedicated their time, leadership, and passion to strengthening Ohio’s roofing industry over the past four decades. It was a special evening reflecting on ORCA’s history, reconnecting with longtime friends, and celebrating the future ahead.

Here’s to 40 years of advocacy, education, relationships, and industry leadership, and many more to come.
