This is not a product that we installed.

Some companies choose to inject foam insulation into the exterior walls of homes. It looks awesome on a commercial.

On this particular house and many others:

The foam did not fill the entire cavity.
The foam shrinks allowing air and moisture in the wall.
The foam cracks during the lumbers expansion / contraction.
Mold was growing inside the wall because of air movement with trapped moisture.

We do not recommend foaming your walls.

On new construction walls: proper air sealing and fiberglass batting is still superior.

On older homes: blown fiberglass or treated cellulose is still superior. Worried about settling? Today’s modern equipment fills the walls with enough density that settling rarely occurs. If settling ever occurred, just add a little more. You can not fix old foam jobs without ripping the walls off.

Training provided

Must be able to climb ladders, crawl on hands/knees, work with a respirator.

Must possess problem solving abilities, basic construction knowledge and excellent communication skills.

Must be able to follow written jobsite directions as each job is different.

Must possess and be able to operate basic construction hand tools.

Pay depends on experience

Smoking is prohibited on company property, in company vehicles or at customer job sites.

If I could give Rob, and Miami Valley Insulation 10 stars I would. As a single female I often times feel pressured or duped when hiring out services. From the start Rob asked me what I wanted out of the insulation project, how long I was planning to live in my home, and customized my project to my wants and needs. Other companies who came out to give me estimates spent time bashing one another and their methods. Rob and his crew never asked about any other companies I had come out. He was focused on my project, and explained in detail how he would do it, and why, in terms I understood. Miami Valley Insulation has the do it right the first time work ethic that is hard to find! The whole crew was polite, professional, and left my house cleaner than they found it. I wish I would have found them sooner, and can t wait to see the improvement in my energy bills! Highly recommend!
