With extreme wind chills sweeping across Wisconsin this week through the weekend between (-20 to -50F) we wanted to put out a warning to all.

Temperatures in this range for a long duration can cause frozen or burst pipes.

Once this frigid cold snaps and the temperatures begin to rise back to normal an increase in burst pipes could increase as a frozen pipe can place up to 25,000psi of pressure on the system. As the system unthaws the water will find the easiest point to escape which is typically where it froze, expanded and cracked.
