We often say that no two stones from our hills are the same, and neither are the lives they mark. For Jalon’s family, these verses weren't just a selection; they were a calling. There truly wasn't a better fitting scripture than this.
Isaiah 57 says that the righteous are often taken away long before we’re ready, and those who walk upright enter into peace. Jalon lived that life every day. Whether he was operating equipment or out in the woods, he was just a good man who did things the right way.
You can tell exactly where he got that character from, too. His family are the kind of sweet, good hearted people that make this area what it is. It’s hard to wrap your head around why the good ones leave us so early, but there’s a quiet comfort in knowing he’s found a place to rest that’s as wonderful as the earth he spent his life working and loving.
We were proud to get to do this one for him 💚 We sat for a minute, just after placing the stone, saying goodbye to our own family. The sun decided to pop out and shine it's rays down on the stone. I like to think that he was saying goodbye back to us. Forever in our hearts, Jalon.

Today I want to share something that means a great deal to me.
Standing here with this stone, I was reminded that some of the sweetest moments in life come from simply listening. Cheryl and her precious mother, Mary, are two of the kindest souls I have had the privilege of spending time with. Visiting with them never felt rushed. It felt gentle, meaningful, and full of love.
I could talk to Mary for hours 💚 her stories, her laughter, her perspective on life, all of it is so captivating. And Cheryl’s warmth and kindness shine through in every word she shares. I got to hear the most amazing stories, stories about family, about life, about love that lasts through everything. The kind of stories that make you laugh, tear up, and quietly sit in gratitude all at once. Those conversations are ones I will always cherish.
This stone represents so much love, devotion, and history. It stands as a reminder of a life deeply lived and deeply loved, and of the family that continues to carry that love forward. I feel honored to have shared time with them, to have listened, and to have been trusted with pieces of their story.
Thank you to the Litchford family for entrusting Lost Creek Stone with a monument that will stand the test of time! 💚

We got to deliver this gorgeous address stone to the Morris family, and I swear they are some of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. They’ve supported us from day one, and getting to make something special for their home has been such a blessing. Dakota handled the install and did an amazing job, and getting to visit with the family while we were there made for the best conversation. Truly amazing people, and we’re grateful for them 💚

If you’ve driven by lately, you’ve probably seen the new sign that Jared and Dakota poured so much time and love into. Watching them work on it meant so much. Gene put up so many signs over the years, always taking pride in every single one. Seeing this one standing by this old dirt road makes me feel like a little piece of him is still helping guide the way. Seeing the sunset hit just right, I can almost feel him standing with us, one hand wrapped around our shoulder, to say he loved us without saying a word. This one feels a little extra special 💚

Have you ever met someone with a story so sweet, so heartbreaking, that it leaves an imprint on your soul? Some moments in this work are beautiful, others are heavy, and then there are the ones that are both, where love and loss meet in the same breath.

This little one’s story was soul shattering in the gentlest way. A reminder of how fragile life is, and how even the briefest presence can change everything around it. To be trusted to create something that holds that kind of love, that kind of grief, that kind of sacred memory, it’s not something we take lightly.

As we visited with Semiahs parents, her family, you could feel the drip of love and sorrow in their voices. Even through the ache, love was present, warm and steady, wrapping around us like a blanket against the cold and wind.

Her momma had sent me pictures of her. She was radiant, glowing like an angel. I loved her without ever knowing her. As we watched the stone slide into place, I held back tears, feeling her love in the air, surrounding us, soft and heavy all at once. And when we left, I wept. I wept for a beautiful soul I loved but never knew, and for a family so full of love it overflowed, touching everyone near them.

Maybe this helps them grieve, maybe it helps them heal, but for us, it’s a privilege, an honor, we will carry forever.

Thank you to this sweet family for allowing Lost Creek Stone to help tell the story of Semiah Saraiyla Grace McAllister, a name that will never be forgotten. 💚

We had the honor of creating and setting this beautiful monument for the McNully family 💚

This piece tells a full story — one of faith, service, family, and home. Every detail was chosen with purpose. From the cross and open Bible to the Air Force emblem and the barbershop tools that reflect a lifetime of hard work and pride. The mountains, pines, cabin, and campfire scene on the front capture their love of peace and togetherness.

The back was just as meaningful! Engraved with generations of names and a message that says it all: “When two hearts become one they blend families together with love.”

This stone will forever stand as a tribute to a life well-lived and a family deeply loved.
💚 Thank you to this sweet family for trusting Lost Creek Stone to create something so special

Some memorials go beyond stone, and some stories go beyond words 💚

When Mr. Lewis came to us to design his wife Anita’s monument, he didn’t just place an order. He opened his heart and shared the kind of love story that very few people are blessed to live. He told me how they started as childhood playmates, how that friendship grew into a high school romance, and how, over the years, it deepened into a marriage filled with faith, laughter, and unwavering devotion.

As he spoke about her, I felt as if I knew Anita myself. He described her with such admiration, such gentleness, that tears welled up in my eyes. It wasn’t just a husband talking about his wife. It was a soul remembering the one person who had been there in every chapter of his life, from riding bicycles together as children to grown-up dreams 💚

On her stone, he chose words that capture the heart of their journey together:
“Now I lay to rest my childhood playmate, my high school sweetheart, my wife. I will love you forever.”

He also chose to add a ledger stone, adorned with wings and symbols of faith, to remind all who pass by that her spirit is free, and her memory is carried on in love.

It was an honor to carve this love story into stone, knowing it will stand as a testament not only to Anita’s life, but to the kind of everlasting devotion that inspires us all 💚 Some love stories do not end. They simply take on new forms, living forever in the hearts of those left behind.

Some stones are more than names and dates. They are love stories carved into the earth, memories preserved in stone, and legacies carried forward by family.

These monuments are not just markers, but tributes to love that lasted a lifetime, to a family name that holds generations together, to roots that run deep and strong.

Every swirl in the stone feels like it was placed there by God’s own hand, a reminder that beauty lives even in our hardest goodbyes. The flag, the birds, the vines, all speak of freedom, of faith, of a life lived with purpose.

The Douglas name will forever stand tall here, not only etched in stone, but written in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved them. I am so thankful that God allowed my path and Kay’s to cross.

And the footstone at their resting place completes it all, a quiet reminder at your feet of the love that carries on.

💚 Forever remembered. Forever loved.

🎣 We had the honor of creating this monument for Tyler Ray Combs — a loving son, father, and brother whose life and passions are beautifully reflected in stone.

From the mountain landscape to the hunting scenes, every detail was chosen to tell his story and keep his memory alive for those who loved him most.

It was also such a blessing to meet his mother, Mrs Deborah, a gracious, kindhearted soul whose love for her son was felt in every conversation. I’m truly grateful our paths crossed 💚

It’s always our privilege to craft pieces that not only mark a resting place but also celebrate a life well lived 🦌

🐞 He did it! My 14-year-old baby boy completed his very first stone, and we are so proud!

While he didn’t design the layout, he took full control of the sandblaster and brought this piece to life with steady hands and so much care. This “Welcome to our Garden” sign is more than just a marker — it’s a memory. A reminder that monuments don’t have to mark sorrow. Sometimes, they celebrate where life grows.

Every garden needs a garden stone… and now ours has one made by Dakota. I couldn’t be more proud of him — and of the story this one tells. Here’s to many more! 💚

🪨 From His Hands to Ours: Meet the Family Behind the Stone 🪨

Before it was Lost Creek Stone, there was Gene. The man. The myth. The Legend. He was the kind of man that didn’t need a website or a contract. He believed in a handshake. When his health began to decline, Gene passed the torch to us 💚 his family. And though we miss him every single day, we carry his legacy forward in every monument we craft, every family we meet, and every story we help preserve.

So maybe it’s time we properly introduce ourselves. We’re the hands holding that torch now. 👇

💪 Jared – The muscle, the master, the maker.
Gene’s grandson and our fearless leader. He forges each monument with quiet strength, shaping raw stone into something sacred. With every strike of the chisel, he honors his grandfather’s teachings and the families we serve.

💚 Montana – The voice, the vision, the glue.
Designer, bookkeeper, and full-time perfectionist. She’s the one behind the screen—listening, designing, answering messages, making sure every stone tells a story as unique as the life it honors. Also the family chaos coordinator!

🧠 Dakota – The apprentice with soul.
At just 14, Dakota is learning this craft not just with his hands, but with his heart. He shadows Jared, watches closely, asks the right questions, and is already shaping his first stone. And let’s be honest..it’s beautiful. Legacy doesn’t skip a generation. It grows in them.

💥 Parker – Our tiny tour guide and CEO of enthusiasm. At 3 years old, she’s the first to greet you, the first to hand you a rock, and usually the one climbing somewhere she probably shouldn’t be. If you’ve visited us, chances are you’ve already been charmed.

👶 Stetson Gene – The newest member of the crew. Born this spring, Stetson brings with him the reminder of why we do what we do—family, love, and legacy. His job title? Chief Snuggler and Future Stone Slinger.

🏡 Our business is rooted right here at home.
We don’t have a storefront in town, and that’s by design. By keeping operations here on the farm, we’re able to keep costs low for families, avoid big overhead, and stay flexible. Jared and I both work full-time jobs during the day—so evenings, weekends, and naptimes become our time to carve, design, and serve. It’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it.

✨ We believe there’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to memorials.
We’re not here to compete. We’re here to connect 💚 Some families want the polished elegance of granite. Others want the rustic soul of Timber Creek Stone. Both are beautiful. Both are valid. And both deserve to feel right. If your family is looking for the polished elegance of granite, we’re happy to recommend some amazing local businesses right here in Sevier County who do incredible work. But if you’re drawn to the warmth and rustic charm of Timber Creek Stone—we would be honored to walk that journey with you.

✝️ We don’t just make stones. We live this life.
This work is personal. It’s full of dust, heart, and meaning—and it’s grounded in faith. Every piece we craft, every family we serve, and every late night in the shop is done to glorify God. We follow our faith in all we do, and we give Him the credit for every door opened and every stone placed.
“Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
~ 1 Corinthians 10:31

To all who have trusted us—thank you. 💚
To Gene—we hope we’re making you proud. 💚

Some stones just fit, like they were always meant to be right there. This monument for Mr. Paul and Mrs. Debby Boswell came together in a way that felt effortless…the shape of the stone, the natural grain, the gentle curve of the base—it all flowed like it was carved by time itself.

It’s clear this family is rooted deep in love and legacy 💚 The design speaks volumes: a quiet life filled with hard work, faith, and devotion to family. It was our absolute honor to be part of their story.

To the Boswell family—thank you for trusting us. May this stone stand strong for generations, just like the memories it holds 💚
