Kevan Klosterwill is a landscape designer, community planner, historian, and writer living in Decorah, Iowa. Kevan holds a PhD in the Constructed Environment from the University of Virginia, and Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia. Prior to moving to Decorah, Kevan led the Office of Park Planning in his hometown of Athens, Georgia. In addition t
o design work, he consults on cultural landscape projects around the country, including at many national parks. Kevan is the 2022 recipient of the Coffin Publication Grant from the Foundation for Landscape Studies for his under-development book on Warren H. Manning, to be published by the Library of American Landscape History. His research and writing has appeared in an array of scholarly and general publications, including Landscape Journal and Landscape Architecture Magazine.
