🚧💧 SEWER LINE REPLACEMENT IN PROGRESS 💧🚧
This customer had an approximately 80-foot sewer line that was constantly holding water 💦 and backing up into the home 🚽🏠. After inspecting the line, we discovered root intrusion 🌳🪵 growing throughout the sewer piping.
The existing sewer line was installed with SDR 3034 pipe. While SDR pipe can be acceptable for certain sewer applications 👍, it is NOT ideal under driveways 🚗 or areas where vehicles regularly drive and park. Over time, the weight and traffic can cause problems underground ⚠️.
To give this homeowner a long-term solution ✅, we are replacing the entire sewer line with heavy-duty Schedule 40 PVC 💪🛠️. This provides a much stronger system designed to handle the load from vehicles above while helping prevent future sewer issues 🚧🚿.

This project started with cutting concrete, exposing old drain lines, and completely reworking the layout to match the new design. From there, we installed new DWV piping, rerouted water lines, and prepped everything for final connections.

⚠️ Real talk — this stage gets messy.
There’s dust, dirt, broken concrete, and open trenches while we’re getting everything right underneath the slab.

👉 Pro tip: Don’t stage your new tile, tubs, or fixtures inside the work area yet.
We see it all the time — brand new materials sitting in the bathroom getting covered in dust, chipped, or in the way while work is being done. Keep them stored safely until rough-in is complete.

Most people don’t realize—your entire plumbing system starts before the slab is even poured.
This stage is called the underground rough-in, and it’s one of the most critical parts of the job. Once concrete goes down, there’s no easy fixing mistakes.
At Plumbline Plumbing & Gas, here’s what happens before the pour:

We map out every fixture exactly where it will sit— toilets, showers, tubs, sinks, kitchen, laundry—everything has to be dead-on.

✔️ Underground Drain System (DWV)
• Install all sewer lines with proper fall/grade
• Set fittings, wyes, and cleanouts in the right locations
• Stub-ups brought up perfectly for future walls and fixtures

• Sleeve lines where required

🚨 PSA: Keep an eye out for this truck in the mornings 🚨

Hey folks, just a friendly heads-up: we met someone today who is definitely not a Plumbline Plumbing and Gas fan.

This gentleman took issue with one of our vans, so naturally… he sped up, tried to cut us off, then threw stuff at the van when that didn’t work. 💡 Because, you know, nothing says “I’m in the right” like littering and assault.

To top it off, he drove down the middle of the road like he was auditioning for Fast & Furious: Freeport Drift. 🎬

By the time we got to the intersection of Hwy 20 and 331, he gave us a little wave—and launched one final parting gift at the van. Direct hit. 👏

Bonus content: This guy’s got a cannon for an arm. If you know a semi-pro baseball team looking for a pitcher with road rage, we’ve found your guy. ⚾️🏈
