Spencer Architecture Studio is proud to have been engaged by History Colorado to conduct a study for the Juan De Dios Ruybal Homestead. The purpose of the study is to create a master planned development for community engagement for a future space for adobe workshops and a docent facility renovation adjacent to this historic adobe home in Conejos County. (The original adobe structure will be preserved as is)

This work is part of History Colorado’s- Colorado Heritage for All program– an ambitious initiative recognizing historic sites related to underrepresented histories and submitting them to state/national registers in coordination with the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, and the 150th anniversary of Colorado's statehood. The Ruybal Homestead nomination was part of a special focused effort in the San Luis Valley with sites selected by the community and funded by the Mellon Foundation.

Spencer Architecture Studio, LLC is proud to have been the architecture firm for the new Hamilton EMS station for the Hico Fire Department. Ruth Zuniga, a Hico Native, an intern architect at the time for Spencer Architecture Studio, was the designer for the station. The project is nearing completion and will be a welcome addition to the City of Hico - City Hall, Texas.
