PSA - wood isn’t as mature as it once was. Trees aren’t growing for long enough before harvest. Which in my mind leads to a board that not quite”stabilized”, enough for real use without 100 nails/mech fasteners.
I grabbed an oversized board, so I could get some quality out of the middle. Nope, still having a hard time finding quality wood these days.
20+ years in carpentry, wood was never this bad. This is 3’ of a rip I was making. Already crowning this much
