This project started by removing a failing three-tier retaining wall and scalping the entire area to eliminate overgrown, w**d infested landscape beds. Sometimes the best way to create a long lasting landscape is to start fresh.

One of the biggest reasons retaining walls fail is what you don’t see. A retaining wall is only as good as its foundation. Proper excavation, a compacted stone base, and adequate drainage behind the wall are essential to prevent settling, leaning, and premature failure. Water is one of the biggest causes of retaining wall failure, which is why building it correctly from the ground up is so important.

While we aren’t replacing the retaining wall, We are excited to continue transforming this property in other ways and can’t wait to share the finished results.
