June 2, 2026. Wicomico Fire Box 74-1, residential structure fire. The call initially came in for an Automatic Fire Alarm activation in a residence on E. Pine Street on the Maryland side. Engine 74-1 responded and found smoke and fire showing on the back corner of the house, with exposure to a recreational vehicle. The call was upgraded to a working fire which brought additional fire departments including Salisbury, Hebron, Laurel, Sharptown and Mardela Springs. Station 71 Blades provided fire stand-by coverage at Delmar fire station during the incident.

June 2, 2026. Motor Vehicle Accident with roll-over. Rescue 74, Paramedic A-74, Paramedic B-74, Sussex County Medic 102 and Delaware State Troopers responded for a vehicle accident on Whitesville Road between US 13 and Old Stage Road. One vehicle rolled all the over and back upright net to a field. No injuries, the driver declined medical care and transport.

May 31, 2026. Wicomico Fire Box 74-2, residential structure fire. Delmar, Salisbury, Parsonburg and Laurel were alerted for a reported structure fire on the Maryland side. Engine 74-1 arrived to find a room and contents fire in a mobile home. No injuries, the occupants were not home.

May 31, 2026. Sussex Rescue Box 81-5. Delmar Rescue 74-6 and Engine 74-1 assisted Laurel Fire Dept with a vehicle collision with roll-over and entrapment at the intersection of Salt Barn Road and Old Stage Road. Rescue 74's crew performed a B-post and door removal on a car in a corn field.

1:00am, Saturday May 30, 2026. At 01:00 Delmar Fire Dept was dispatched for a single vehicle roll-over at the intersection of Pepperbox Road and Clayton Lane. Units found a Volvo XC90 on it's side in a front yard. There were no occupants found at the scene. Firefighters and Delaware State Police Helicopter Trooper 2 searched the area for any possibly injured subjects. No occupants were found.

Monday, May 25, 7:30am. E. State Street between Bi-State Blvd and N. 6th Street was closed for about an hour this morning due to power lines and a tree down in the roadway.
