It is with heavy hearts that we remember and honor the life of Robert Earl Jones, affectionately known to so many as “Cowboy.”
For 14 years, Cowboy was a dedicated member of the H&M Construction family. During his time with us, he earned the respect and admiration of everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him. His commitment to his work was matched only by his commitment to the people around him.
Cowboy was more than a coworker, he was a mentor, a teacher, and a trusted friend. He took great pride in training others and sharing his knowledge, helping countless employees develop their skills and confidence. His patience, guidance, and willingness to invest in others left a lasting impact that will continue to be felt for years to come.
To many, Cowboy was a father figure. He was known for his kindness, wisdom, and genuine concern for those around him. Whether offering encouragement, sharing life lessons, or simply lending a listening ear, he had a remarkable ability to make people feel valued and supported. His presence brought comfort, strength, and friendship to the workplace.
While we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a life well lived, a life defined by hard work, integrity, faith, and service to others. The legacy Cowboy leaves behind is not measured solely by the years he spent with H&M Construction, but by the countless lives he touched along the way. His influence will continue through the people he mentored, the friendships he built, and the example he set for all who knew him.
As we reflect on Cowboy’s life, we extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones. We are grateful for the time we shared with him and for the many memories that will remain in our hearts.
2 Timothy 4:7-8
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day
