My House, photo is an older one (2016 before other improvements) and more recently 2024 with my Solar Panels. Why I got solar:
👉Save on electric bill
👉Sell back to the power company
👉Future potential for battery back up -eliminate need for generator for power outages.
👉A way to mitigate Rising Power prices.
This is for now. In the future I want to be able to be 100% "off grid" and independent of the power companies. While there are not supposed to be monopolies in many industries (those who have greatest market shares etc). I find that power companies (and water) seem to be the exceptions. Where you choose to buy - you Receive access from the company established there - no choices!. Even trash and internet services are severely limited. So with an opportunity to take back Some of The Power, I go for it.
