To think a year ago this was overgrown weeds and invasive plants...now there are butterflies, bees, 4+ species of dragonflies, and even room for the dogs to play. You really can have it all. The start of a gorgeous native cottage garden and walking paths for a client in Salisbury, MD

FINALLY after five years of adding milkweeds to my garden, I've had more than one monarch visit! We have a few flitting around the beds and containers right now 🥰 🦋

Of all the birds, bugs, amphibians, and mammals who visit my gardens, monarchs have taken the longest to find us

Although the common milkweed is already past bloom (Asclepias syrica, don't recommend for smaller gardens), they are loving the swamp milkweed (A. incarnata, pic 2), butterfly milkweed (A. tuberosa, pic 3) and other flowers like straight-species coneflower (Echinacea purpurea, pic 1, they don't seem to like the yellow and white varieties I have)

These fig trees just keep giving! Grown from 'Brown Turkey' twig cuttings four years ago, now potted in 24-inch resin containers, and I don't even have to cover them here in wintertime!

I have a great source of anybody wants their own (thanks Dad 🌱)
