Is your window A/C struggling to keep up?

Does it blow cold for 5 minutes, then blow warm for 10? You most likely have a dirty condenser coil. The coil you see on the outside might look brand new, but the inside where the fan lives is where all the dirt buildup happens and chokes the airflow.

Here is a quick DIY maintenance guide to get it blowing ice-cold again:

1. Unplug the unit. Remove the front filter, rinse it in the sink, and set it aside to dry.

2. Get a helper. Safely remove the heavy unit from the window. If you have a yard, take it outside to a garden hose. If you live in a condo, lay a heavy towel down in your shower/bathtub to protect the floor from scratches, and put the unit there.

3. Face down. Lay the unit carefully so the front end (where the controls are) is facing down.

4. Prep the water. If you're using a shower, adjust the showerhead to a pulsating mode so you can direct the water in a concentrated stream. (Pro tip: Never use a high-powered pressure washer, or you'll bend the fins!)

5. Flush it out. Rinse the coil so water penetrates all the way through to the other side. You will probably see dirty, black water coming out the bottom. Keep rinsing until the water runs crystal clear.

6. Flip it over. Carefully flip the unit up so the controls are facing the ceiling.

7. Rinse the front. Gently rinse the front evaporator coil (where the filter goes). Try to avoid soaking the electronic control board.

8. Set it upright. Take the system out to a designated drying area and sit it right-side up.

9. Let it dry. Leave it alone for at least 2 to 3 hours so it can dry thoroughly.

10. Reinstall. Put the unit back in the window exactly as it was, plug it in, and enjoy that brand-new, ice-cold air!

Kevin Voigt has answered the question all of us humans have!!!
Is there a place for humans in the future with AI.✌️AI experts✌️ all the yapping all over the WWW yet no one is talking about what came to me like a hand slap on my bald head!!! Biiiiinnnngggg!

Are we living in a knowledge explosion, but a wisdom drought?
I have been spending a lot of time lately looking at how AI is changing our world—from the technical side of the HVAC/R trade to managing complex business systems. It is incredible what these tools can do. They can process data, find patterns, and solve problems faster than we ever could.
But it got me thinking: Is AI ever going to have wisdom?
The answer I keep coming back to is no. And that is actually a good thing.
Here is the difference as I see it:
Knowledge is having all the data in the world. It is knowing how a machine works.
Wisdom is knowing why it matters. It is the human judgment that decides how to use that knowledge to serve people, build a business with integrity, and take care of what really matters, such as family and community.
In the future, the most successful people will not be the ones who compete with AI. It will be the ones who use AI to handle the knowledge—the data, the logistics, and the heavy lifting—which frees us up to do what humans do best: be the wise operators.
We are the ones who provide the context, the ethics, and the heart. The machine can optimize the system, but we are the ones who decide if the system is actually worth building in the first place.
Let us keep building and keep learning, but let us make sure we never outsource our common sense or our moral compass to an algorithm. My head still stings like a sunburn.
