Meet Carl, our VP of Fueling & Service- and once upon a time, Carlton Electric's star ditch digger.

Carl has been with us since day one. Today he helps set company direction alongside our CEO and shareholders, and oversees our finance, special projects, and service departments.

Master Electrician. US Navy A and C school. IECRM 4-year apprentice program. But ask Carl what drives him and he'll point to two things: staying humble and staying open to learning new things.

When he's not working, you'll find him on a Colorado hiking trail or fishing somewhere across the state, usually with his wife, two kids, and a pack of hound dogs.

A perspective from the field: the biggest source of commercial project delays we encounter isn't material lead times or labor availability, it's late design decisions that create field conflicts downstream.

Our recommendation to GC preconstruction teams: get your electrical sub in the room during design development, before the drawings are finalized. The conversations that happen at that stage save weeks in the field. We're always willing to sit down early.

Most electrical contractors install what the engineer of record designs. Carlton Electric can do both.

Our in-house engineering team handles load calculations, one-line design, power and lighting layouts, generator and UPS sizing, utility coordination, and low-voltage infrastructure; and we stamp the drawings ourselves when the project requires it.

A Signing Day celebration! We are thrilled to welcome 5 graduates from DCSD Legacy Campus to the Carlton Electric team. In front of their family, peers, future employers, and faculty, these students signed on to build a career post graduation, and we couldn't be more proud to be their next chapter.

Our partnership with Legacy Campus the past few years has been incredible and together we continue to create real pathways from the classroom to a career.
