Today's storm showed up uninvited in a big way, and unfortunately, so will the roofing door knockers tomorrow. We've seen it happen after every big storm, and today was a doozy.

If you're in Arvada, Golden, Lakewood, Wheat Ridge, Parker, or the Pinery, you felt it the most. The swath photos below show just how widespread this one was.

We're Levello, a local woman-owned and operated Colorado roofing company that's been through a lot of these storms alongside our neighbors. We know the next few days are going to be a lot. Knock Knock.... Who's There?... NOT us!
Seriously, we don't door knock. The only time we show up at your house is if you ask us to.

There was a widespread storm today. The first big one of the year in Colorado and we know what it's like after a storm. Your doorbell starts ringing and suddenly everyone's an insurance expert or knows you have damage without even getting on the roof.

So before you let anyone on your roof, here's what to ask:

🔴 Ask to see their individual solicitor license/permit for your city; it's illegal to solicit without one.
🔴 Ask for copies of their Workers' Comp & General Liability Insurance.
🔴 Ask if they're a LOCAL company. Storm chasers follow disasters and disappear. Local companies have roots and reputations to protect.
🔴 Never sign anything or pay a deposit at the door; always get a written estimate first.
🔴 It is ILLEGAL for a contractor to offer to pay, waive, or rebate your insurance deductible in any way.
🔴 Remember, you have a 72-hour rescission/cancellation period on any contract you sign.
