Technology can make the process faster. The human perspective is what makes it meaningful.

One of Boulder's most recognizable historic buildings was reimagined to meet the needs of today's workplace while preserving the character that makes it unique.

The Colorado Building renovation balanced modernization with historic preservation, transforming the 88,000 SF property into a Class A office building while respecting its architectural legacy. Working within the framework of the original design, our team's scope included a complete replacement of the exterior window wall façade, redesigned entry and floor lobbies, an elevator extension to the penthouse level and new interior tenant spaces.

Projects like this demonstrate that preserving the past and preparing for the future can go hand in hand. 🤝

Revitalizing an existing community through strategic design. ✅

Our team completed a major remodel of Kensington Apartments, a 162-unit student housing community in Boulder, Colorado. The renovation focused on enhancing the property’s functionality, accessibility and resident experience while preserving the value of the existing community.

The scope included converting more than 100 studio units into one-bedroom apartments, along with extensive upgrades to amenity spaces including the indoor pool, leasing office, fitness room, club room, mail facilities, and restrooms.

The $12 million renovation demonstrates how targeted improvements can transform an existing property and create spaces that better support today’s residents' needs.

The most successful mixed-use developments create value for residents, businesses, and the neighborhood all at once.

Ivy Tech was designed with that balance in mind. Located near downtown Indianapolis, this six-story mixed-use community brings together 201 market-rate apartments with amenities that support everyday living, including a fitness center, business center, rooftop garden and swimming pool. At street level, 4,000 square feet of restaurant space helps activate the pedestrian experience and strengthen the connection to the surrounding neighborhood.

Projects like this require coordination from the earliest planning stages. Balancing residential density, amenity programming, and an engaging streetscape is what transforms a building into a place people want to call home and a destination that contributes to the long-term success of a neighborhood.

We're proud to have partnered with TWG Development, Management and Construction on a project that reflects how purposeful design can support both residents and the continued growth of downtown Indianapolis.

Downtown Denver continues to evolve, design will play a critical role in shaping what comes next.

Our conceptual design for 1830 Broadway envisions a 30-story mixed-use tower that brings together 350 residences, 125,000 square feet of office and retail space, and an integrated parking structure to support the needs of a growing urban community.

A refined palette of precast concrete, metal panels and expansive glass creates a contemporary architectural expression along Broadway, while a rooftop pool and amenity deck offer residents sweeping views of the Front Range and Downtown Denver.

Designed for the way people live, work and connect, this concept reflects our commitment to creating places that contribute meaningfully to the future of the city.

We're excited to celebrate the groundbreaking of 106 W. Castle Rd. in Columbus, Ohio, a new affordable housing community that will bring 144 thoughtfully designed homes to local families. Designed with connection in mind, the community will feature a dedicated clubhouse, fitness center, community room, playground, picnic areas and outdoor spaces that encourage residents to gather and thrive.

It was an honor to celebrate this milestone alongside Representative Latyna M. Humphrey and our project partners as construction officially gets underway.

We partnered with throughout the project, leading rezoning efforts, architectural design and construction administration while thoughtfully shaping the site to maximize outdoor amenities, neighborhood character and the overall resident experience.

Thank you to our partners TWG Development, Management and Construction, Midas Building Group, American Structurepoint, Jordan & Skala Engineers, JPS Consulting Engineers and Energy Diagnostics Inc. for helping bring this vision to life. We look forward to welcoming residents to the completed community in late 2027.

A private courtyard sits at the center of The Walnut, creating a shared outdoor space that brings daylight, fresh air and a sense of connection to the residents who call it home.

Located in downtown Boulder, the multifamily community was designed to maximize natural light, ventilation and access to the outdoors. Expansive private balconies and views of the foothills help connect residents to the surrounding landscape while creating comfortable spaces for everyday living.

Some of the most interesting projects begin with an existing structure and a question: what should its next chapter be?

At 1101 University, a historic fraternity house adjacent to the University of Colorado Boulder campus was transformed into student housing as part of the ongoing revitalization of the University Hill District.

Rather than starting from the ground up, the project combined preservation, renovation and expansion to adapt the former Sigma Alpha Epsilon House for a new generation of residents. The result is 13 apartments that bring contemporary living amenities to a building with deep ties to the neighborhood's history.

As communities continue to evolve, adaptive reuse projects offer an opportunity to extend the life of existing buildings while responding to changing needs and expectations.

Every neighborhood is shaped by a mix of buildings from different eras, each reflecting the needs and priorities of its time.

Completed in 2023, 951 Logan adds a contemporary residential presence to Denver's Capitol Hill neighborhood while contributing 48 new homes in one of the city's most walkable urban districts.

Beyond the residences themselves, the project incorporates shared spaces designed to extend the living experience, from a welcoming lobby and lounge to a rooftop deck that offers opportunities for gathering, dining and taking in views of the city and Front Range.

Together, these elements help reinforce the qualities that make urban neighborhoods vibrant: density, walkability and spaces that bring people together.
