A little bit of everything on this one 💦🔧

This video gives a pretty good look at the variety of irrigation work we handle, from smaller repairs to much bigger system issues and upgrades.

In this one, we’re showing:

💧 Adding a sprinkler head to improve coverage
💧 Finding and repairing a leak
💧 Replacing an entire leaking mainline
💧 Rebuilding valves and the manifold after the existing valves weren’t operating properly
💧 Installing a battery-powered NODE timer
💧 Replacing the existing valve with one compatible with the NODE timer so everything could operate correctly

Some sprinkler problems are obvious. Others are underground, hidden in a valve box, or only show themselves once we start troubleshooting. Whether it’s poor coverage, leaks, mainline issues, valves that aren’t working correctly, or a system that needs a different timer setup, we’ll figure out what’s going on and find the right solution for the system.

We’ll be starting blowouts soon, and appointments will begin filling up as we get closer to colder weather.

Denver Water customers: September 30 is the last day to water, so keep that date in mind when choosing your blowout date.

If you already know when you’re ready to shut your system down for the season, you can get your blowout on the schedule now instead of waiting for the first freeze warning.

🚨 Denver Water customers — it’s time to get your sprinkler blowout scheduled! 🚨

Denver Water has announced that lawn watering and all spray irrigation will be prohibited after September 30th due to current drought conditions.

We will begin sprinkler blowouts October 5th, and our schedule is now open!

Fall appointments fill up fast, especially once freezing temperatures start showing up, so we highly recommend getting on the schedule early.

This project turned into a little bit of everything.

We started by troubleshooting a wire shortage and re-splicing the existing wiring in hopes of solving the issue without having to run all new wire. When that didn’t do the trick, we ran new wire from the valves back to the timer.

We also redesigned one of the zones and upgraded the sprinkler heads in that area, then replaced and upgraded the rest of the backyard heads as well (just under 30 heads total).

A lot of troubleshooting, digging, and improvements, but the system is now working the way it should.

Out with the old, in with the new 💦

A few of these old irrigation valves were starting to fail and were partially stuck open. Rather than continuing to replace them one at a time, the homeowner decided to replace all 12 at once.

12 old valves out. 12 new valves in. Now the system is more reliable, easier to service, and working the way it should.

A few sprinkler system fixes from this week 💦

Replaced sprinkler heads, relocated a few for better coverage, and replaced a valve diaphragm.

Always test your home’s water supply pressure before installing additional sprinkler heads. This ensures the system can support the added demand without causing a loss of water pressure inside the home.

💦 Sprinkler Line Leaks

If you’ve noticed a wet spot in your yard, low water pressure, or sprinkler heads not working correctly, you may have a sprinkler line leak.

A small leak can quickly become a bigger problem, wasting water, increasing your water bill, and causing damage to your lawn or landscaping.

If you’re dealing with a leak, we’d be happy to help! We’re currently scheduling about 2 weeks out, so now is a great time to get on the schedule.
