We're excited to spotlight Jacob Geraci, Project Manager, who has been an integral part of the Sky Blue Builders team for the past five years. Currently leading our East Colfax BRT project, Jacob works closely with clients, partners, and project teams to guide complex projects from planning through delivery while fostering strong relationships every step of the way.

In addition to leading projects, Jacob serves as an employee-elected member of the Sky Blue Builders Board of Directors, where he helps shape the company's strategic direction and ensure the voices of our employee-owners are reflected in key decisions. His leadership both in the field and within our ESOP reflects the collaborative culture that defines Sky Blue Builders.

When he's not at work, Jacob enjoys weightlifting, hiking, snowboarding, building high-performance cars, racing, and spending time with his pup.

Yesterday, Sky Blue Builders' ESOP Committee hosted another employee site walk, this time at the United Airlines Flight Training Center in Denver.

Employee-owners had the opportunity to tour the project and learn more about the security and visitor access improvements our team is helping deliver. The project includes a new visitor processing center, enhanced security infrastructure, and the relocation of a pedestrian access point designed to improve safety by separating pedestrian and vehicle traffic while strengthening campus security.

Site walks like these give our employee-owners a firsthand look at the work happening across our projects, the challenges our teams solve every day, and the impact of employee ownership in action.

A special thank you to the project team—Michael Chavez, Operations Manager - Aviation; Steven Shannon, Superintendent; Anthony Mozal, Project Engineer; and Brian Limias-Garcia, Field Engineer—for sharing their expertise and providing an inside look at a project that will help create a safer, more efficient experience for the thousands of pilots, employees, and visitors who access the facility each year.

As Denver International Airport prepares for a leadership transition, Sky Blue Builders extends our gratitude to Phil Washington for his vision, partnership, and commitment to creating opportunity through infrastructure.

Throughout his tenure, Phil championed projects that strengthened DEN's position as a global airport while investing in the people and businesses that make Colorado's economy thrive. His support for workforce development, small business participation, and initiatives like the Center of Equity & Excellence in Aviation will create opportunities for generations to come.

Phil's impact on Colorado's infrastructure is immeasurable. Through his leadership at RTD and DEN, he helped shape projects and programs that will benefit our communities for decades. Equally important has been his unwavering commitment to supporting small businesses and creating opportunities for diverse firms to grow, compete, and succeed.

We are proud to have contributed to many of the projects that helped bring that vision to life and grateful for the relationships built along the way. While Phil will certainly be missed, we will continue championing the values and vision he advanced throughout his career.

⛳ Great day on the course with industry partners at the HCC Annual Golf Tournament.

Jasmine Solis, Michael Chavez, Adam Tinucci, and Alex McDonald represented Sky Blue Builders at Fox Hollow Golf Course for a day of golf, networking, and connection with leaders from across Colorado's construction community.

Beyond the competition, SBB was excited to support HCC's fundraising efforts, including a donation that helps advance contractor education, mentorship, leadership development, and advocacy for diverse businesses throughout the AEC industry.

Investing in the next generation of builders is one more way Sky Blue Builders continues to make a lasting impact in our community.

This spring, the Sky Blue Builders Scholarship helped support four students through the Denver Scholarship Foundation as they pursue construction-related degrees at Colorado State University and University of Colorado Denver.

Meet this semester's scholarship recipients:

All four students are the first in their families to attend college and are pursuing careers in construction, architecture, and related fields.
