🏰 Denver's Historic (and Haunted?) Architectural Marvel 👻
Happy Friday, Denver! Today, we are heading to Capitol Hill to admire one of the city's most striking and mysterious landmarks.
Meet the Croke-Patterson-Campbell Mansion.
Located on the same avenue as our own headquarters, this massive structure is a breathtaking testament to the incredible craftsmanship of the late 19th century.
The Historic Details:
📍 Location: 428-430 E. 11th Avenue, Capitol Hill
🗓️ Built: 1891
🏛️ Style: Richardsonian Romanesque—known for its beautiful, heavy red sandstone masonry, deep window reveals, and dramatic arches.
Beyond its stunning exterior, the mansion is famous for its rich, colorful, and heavily rumored haunted history! Over the decades, it has been the subject of countless ghost stories, chilling urban legends, and local lore, making it a true staple of Denver culture.
At EL GATOS State of the Art Construction, we are passionate about building the future of Denver through sustainable, LEED-certified residential homes, but we always take time to appreciate the architectural legacy that paved the way.
