This customer liked their previous design, but wanted to convert the tub to a shower basin. Luckily this is a very common tile. I spent a whole day on layout alone to make sure there were no small finicky pieces in any of the corners.

Another rebuild finished up. Sometimes it is hard to spot bad tile work. It can look ok and even the grout lines can line up. I checked the surrounding walls for moisture with my meter and I knew something was amiss.  This shower was only a couple of years old. I was able to reuse the existing door at least. The previous so-called tile setter used a gypsum product in the shower and none of the seams were waterproofed. The drain had flexion so it was causing the tile to move around on the floor. There were numerous plumbing issues from a licensed plumber. Schluter products for the win

Sometimes i fix sh*tty issues. Whomever installed this hardwood floor (years ago) did not adjust the toilet drain to accommodate for the increase of height. Plus, hardwood in a bathoom? Umm... maybe not. You can see that the wax seal never compressed.
