Another milestone worth sharing.

We've been giving you a behind-the-scenes look at this Downtown Denver project, and it's exciting to see the vision continue to take shape.

Soon, these two towers will bring 461 new residences to the city, from studios and one-bedroom homes to spacious penthouses. Future residents will enjoy amenities designed for modern living, including retail spaces, parking, and a pool deck high above the city.

For our Shaker Painting team, every phase completed is a reminder that great projects are built one step at a time. We're grateful to play a role in creating spaces that hundreds of people will eventually call home.

Two water damage repairs. Zero other contractors willing to bid.

That's how these jobs came to us.

Not through a big contract. Not through a referral from a luxury build. Through someone who had been ignored, not because the work was complicated, but because other contractors decided the job wasn't big enough for their time.

We showed up anyway.

One job: a kitchen ceiling damaged by a roof leak. We didn't just patch the affected area and call it done. We removed the damaged drywall, re-textured to match the existing finish, and painted the entire ceiling — corner to corner — so it looks exactly the way it did before the water ever came through.

The other: a garage with water damage that had gotten into the insulation. We stripped it back to the studs, installed new insulation, new drywall, taped and mudded everything clean.

Both jobs: finished with Sherwin-Williams — because we don't cut corners on materials regardless of the scope.

Bad paint jobs don't always look bad on day one.

They look fine when the crew leaves. Then three months in, the edges start peeling, the finish looks uneven, and you're spending money again on something that should have been done right the first time.

We're currently working through a full commercial interior repaint — reception, offices, boardroom, corridors, and a photo studio that needs a flawless finish for professional use.

It rained Last week.
Most of our outdoor painting stopped.

We didn't freak out.

Here's why:

When you run a painting company long enough, you stop being surprised by rain.

You just get ready for it ahead of time.

Here's what that looks like for us at Shaker Painting:

1. We watch the weather 10 days out — always.
2. We have indoor work lined up just in case.
3. We tell the project manager right away — no hiding it.
4. We give them new dates before they even ask.
5. We built extra days in the schedule from day one.

Some people think delays = bad company.

Actually, delays = normal.
