A little starstruck by this one. ✨

I had the pleasure of meeting neuroaesthetics icon Don Ruggles, author of Beauty, Neuroscience & Architecture—a fascinating exploration of how timeless forms, patterns, and the spaces we surround ourselves with can influence our health and well-being.

It’s a subject I’ve become increasingly passionate about because good design isn’t just about how a space looks. It’s about how it makes you feel.

The more we understand the connection between beauty, our brains, and our built environments, the more powerful design becomes. And honestly? That’s pretty exciting. 🧠✨

School is back, and suddenly your house is holding a lot more than it was two weeks ago. 😂

Backpacks. Shoes. Lunch boxes. Water bottles. Artwork. Library books. Sports gear. And approximately 47 things your kids insist they absolutely need.

The solution isn’t always adding another piece of furniture—it’s designing storage into the spaces you already have.

A few of our favorite nonconventional solutions:
• Dedicated shelves within a built-in bookshelf for backpacks and everyday essentials
• Hidden shoe drawers built right into an entryway
• Storage that looks like part of the architecture instead of an afterthought

Because when everything has a home, mornings run a little smoother—and your home doesn’t have to look like a school supply aisle by 3 p.m.

Good design should work hard for real life, especially when real life comes home with a backpack.

There’s something about a moody room that just feels… right.

Deep purple with a hit of turquoise. Clay red paired with natural artwork. Warm tan and orange drapery against soft blue. Rustic blue cabinetry grounded by oak.

The common thread? Nothing feels too perfect. The colors are layered, the materials have warmth, and every room has a little bit of tension that makes you want to stay awhile.
