This Women in Construction Week, we are proud to celebrate the talented women who help shape our projects and our communities across every region.

Meet a few of the incredible team members making an impact every day: Amy Peron, Anna Zultowski, Cara Scohy, Emily Larkin, Eva Mather, and Kate Berg.

Women make up about 10% of the construction workforce, representing more than 1.1 million professionals nationwide. The industry continues to grow more inclusive, with women earning nearly equal pay at 99.1% of their male counterparts’ wages and owning approximately 13% of construction companies.

From project management and operations to leadership and ownership, women are building the future of construction in powerful ways. We are grateful for the expertise, dedication, and leadership these women bring to our teams.

This 471-acre master planned community is unified through thoughtfully designed entry monument signage featuring a bespoke community logo, creating a strong visual connection between the North and South communities. Turner’s Crossing links residents to natural areas and key amenities through an integrated trail system, complemented by streetscape design for both boulevard and interior streets. A vibrant amenity center - complete with a pool, playground, and cohesive pedestrian circulation - brings energy and life to the community. Our branding team worked to create a vibrant alternative to the destination’s traditional stays. Hotel Thaynes invites guests to experience Park City as more than meets the eye, where mining heritage and modern mountain culture collide in the best way.

Inspired by the town’s enduring grit, adventurous spirit, and love for discovery, the brand captures a sense of place that feels both refined and rugged, authentic and refreshing. From its warm, storied identity to its layered visual vernacular, Hotel Thaynes is designed as a true scrapbook of community, adventure, and shared experience.

We are proud to share that our very own Alyssa Butler will be speaking on a panel for Women in Construction, sponsored by ARCO Murray, on March 5.

Each year, ARCO hosts this event as part of National Women in Construction Week to increase visibility for young women considering careers in construction, celebrate the incredible women who positively impact the industry, and foster open dialogue about how we can continue to move the industry forward.

Join us in Denver on Thursday, March 5 at Stick & Feather for networking, a panel discussion, and a happy hour to follow. This year’s event will also support STEMblazer’s programs, which inspire girls to see themselves in science, technology, engineering, and math careers.

Our Phoenix office had the pleasure last week of hosting both the Arizona ASLA Happy Hour and our annual Client Appreciation Party, two memorable events that brought our professional community together.

On Wednesday night, in collaboration with Arizona ASLA, Norris Design welcomed professionals, students, and sponsors to our office for the Arizona ASLA Happy Hour. The event offered an opportunity to greet Torey Carter-Conneen during his visit to Arizona and to connect with others in the landscape architecture community. It was a great evening of learning and celebrating the continued growth and future of the profession. Thank you to Arizona ASLA and everyone who joined us.

On Thursday night, our Phoenix team, and team members from multiple offices, came together with clients across a variety of disciplines for our annual Client Appreciation Party. Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate the project that Norris Design has been a part of. We look forward to building on that momentum and continuing our success in future projects.
