🪱 Kansas Homeowners: Keep an Eye Out for Armyworms & Ticks! 🌱
This time of year, armyworms can destroy a healthy lawn in just a few days if they aren't treated while they're actively feeding. We've also seen an increase in ticks throughout Kansas, making it a good time to inspect your property.
How to check for armyworms:
✅ Look for brown or thinning patches that seem to appear overnight.
✅ Part the grass and look near the soil surface for green, brown, or striped caterpillars about 1–1½ inches long.
✅ Check early in the morning or near dusk, when they're most active.
✅ Watch for birds suddenly gathering in your yard—they're often feeding on armyworms and can be an early warning sign.
If you suspect armyworms, don't wait. Early treatment is the key to preventing extensive lawn damage.
We also offer insecticide applications to help reduce ticks and other nuisance insects around your property, making your yard more enjoyable for your family and pets.
