LOVE Under Construction wrap up:

Lonny and I want to thank you so incredibly much for hanging out with us as we Constructed our Love for one another and our new home!

Quick recap: I was an 8-year widow, whose neighbors had to get in my biz-ness, and introduce me to Lonny, so blessed they did! Lonny made me feel alive again!

Lonny and I dated for a short 6 months, and he proposed on land he bought in hopes I would marry him and build a new life together. Duh, I said yes! Then...

Got a house plan; Executed it. Planned a Wedding; Executed it, honeymooned, 1st biological grandchild, sold Lonny's house, packed and moved Lonny, Unexpected death in family (traveled cross country), 2nd and 3rd biological grandbabies are (Twins) born, summer comes, mowing 2 homes, put my house on market, packed ...All while building our future home. Perfect storm for "Love Under Construction". BTW, we are now expecting our 4th grandbaby; I only emphasize the biological because we were fortunate to be blessed with our first three grands that came with our lovely daughter-in-law!

So, after our own 9 months of load-bearing mood swings, we are calling it wraps on the Construction, but our Love will live on!

We will receive our certificate of occupancy and will make our final move! Enjoy the Photo finish preview!

A video of our beautiful home will be posted on Wednesday morning and the huge photo shoot will post on Friday. Until then...

Y'all remember the good ol' days? When Bob Cook Homes built a whole house, for ‘extreme makeover’ for a deserving family. Ty Pennington would scream 'MOVE THAT BUS!'

Today? We're not moving a bus. We're rolling back that Barn DOOR, baby!

And what lies behind Door Number One? Not a new car. Not a vacation. IT'S A MASTER SHOWER!

A master class act, if you will. Brought to you by the absolute legends at National Flooring, who knew, My heart was set on ONYX, but Kamela and Cyndi made this bathroom so amazing. The tiles were so big that I didn't even notice those pesky grout lines!

And...The Bob Cook Homes crew is standing there, just staring at me, just wondering what I think. I turn around with tears in my eyes to match the same look, staring back at me. My Heart if soooo full right now, that it is rolling out my eyes down on my cheeks!

My new bestie, Noel from Carranza Flooring, he freehanded the floor in the shower, the benches and wrapping of the windows are so Incredible. It really looks like a 5-star resort!

Welcome back to Episode 30 of Love Under Construction, where it's finally party time!🥳🎉

Lonny is building the fire-pit with the grill to get this party kicked off, But...

by "party," I don't mean ice-cold beers and BBQ. I mean the ultimate, chaotic crossover event where every single subcontractor returns to finish the jobs they abandoned months ago.

On Monday, the "crowd" consisted of exactly two painters staring at a wall. On Tuesday, the VIP list exploded to include the plumbers and trim carpenters bumping elbows. By Wednesday, everyone ghosted us except for the plumbers. Long story short? This sad little gathering didn't even warrant a box of courtesy donuts.🍩

On Thursday, Quality Gutters arrived on the scene and installed our Black Gutters. How do gutters look so sexy! I am so glad I decided not to paint the trim black, as most downspouts are not hidden by the trim but tastefully placed for beauty and functionality.

Fenix Heating & Air arrived and put our FANCY thermostat in its correct place and gave us full (self) service, LOL

Fisher Lumber Company came in hot with the fireplace finish and last but not least is Artistic Marble to drill out a home for the air switch (garbage disposal).

All the while Benjamin Cook was steadily, placing my hardware on the doors and drawers. I'm going to pat myself on the back here, another home run in my opinion🧡🧡🧡

By the end of day Thursday, the party ended for the week...now we wait for the electrician to come pull it all together for us.
