Well we managed to wrap up this carport between the waves of monsoons. The one we tore down was at the end of its life so why not upgrade to something better? Building the new carport this way allowed us to make all the water drain off one side into the yard and on to the ditch. Another roof install completed. This one had a metal roof on it installed by the manufacturer. You can see in the pictures how well the roof did being screwed directly to the decking. We were able to remove the screws with our fingers and had to replace the rotten decking around the whole perimeter of the house. This is the second one this year with the exact same problem.
