Newburyport has some of the best clients I could ask for!

Check out these shots of a subtle yet eye catching statement I added to this beach town home's powder room. Bathrooms are a great choice for creating a beautiful accent space to compliment a home's aesthetic!

A throwback to another wallpaper hung with pride, dedication, and the patience of a Pimpernel 🀭

This accent wall features Pimpernel, a design by Morris and Company 🀌

I've written the following from a slew of information I've gathered over the years along my own artistic journey, with a love for wallpaper I can't quite explain::

Morris, a man who refused entry into The Great Exhibition at only 16 years old, held steadfast to his unwavering belief that creating artistry from within, by hand making beautiful designs, was essential- in a rapidly evolving period of history where fast paced production was beginning to take the world by storm, and where he believed quality was being traded for supplying a forever satiated demand.

His beliefs and ex*****on of artistry in many forms later dubbed him a key leader and crucial savior of crafting extravagance, step by step, and piece by piece. A peculiar proponent for hanging onto a seemingly dying process, yet an awe inspiringly and captivating gentleman, his commitment and loyalty to principles of craft argued that excellence supercedes progress. Nothing good comes fast and excellence requires a timeless dedication and patience. A leading craftsman of his time, he created marvelous murals and textile hangings for some of the most prestigious people of the era. He was a quirky sort of man, yet an unwavering man nonetheless, and because of him, crafts by hand and meticulously curated artistry among all kinds, still sparkle for those who seek things beyond fast paced glitz and glam that never seem to stand the test of time.

Surrounded by the elite, and supported by some of the best artists of his time, Morris wanted everyone to have a taste of excellence and created wallpaper designs of intricately situated scrolled flowers from some of his favorite gardens. These wallpapers, his wallpapers, sometimes used a sixty-eight step process to make a level of decor that continues to donish homes and aristocratic buildings almost two centuries since.

Today, Morris and Company is one of the leading and most sought after wallpaper suppliers worldwide, bringing the intricacy of tapestry to a wider audience...

just as he always wanted.
