Today was another crane day for All Iowa Mechanical. It was a 275 ton crane that required 4 semi truck loads of outrigger pads and counterweights amongst other items. We were lifting a 4500 pound roof mounted HVAC unit which was about 200’ from the crane center pin. It took 3 hours of setup for a 15 minute pick. A day in the life!

All Iowa Mechanical had the privilege of working on a project at the Iowa Governor’s mansion named Terrace Hill. We removed and replaced a ventilation system for the new elevator shaft and equipment room. We love doing these types of projects!

For all of you plumbing, HVAC and mechanical nerds out there here are some photos of a county road maintenance facility we recently completed. We installed all of the indoor plumbing and HVAC. This building has many different types of equipment including: split system heating and cooling, a package terminal air conditioner, multiple gas and electric unit heaters, powered exhaust systems including a vehicle exhaust system, gas fired make up air system, multiple smoke/fire duct dampers, two high efficiency boilers, an underfloor radiant heating system, an energy recovery ventilator, two tankless water heaters, a stationary Hotsy natural gas power washer, a waste oil furnace and a compressed air system with two compressors and a refrigerated air cooler. This was a fun project and it showcases some of what we can offer our customers

All Iowa Mechanical is looking for a full time truck driver/ delivery person. The job requires heavy lifting and the ability to pull and back up trailers. A CDL is not required, a valid driver’s license and a good driving record are required. A basic knowledge of tools and their names is a plus. Knowledge of securing and tying down loads to safely and legally transport them is a plus. A person in this position will move equipment and materials to and from our shop, our job sites and our vendor locations. This person will also schedule, receive and offload freight delivery’s from trucking companies delivering to our warehouse. Pay can range from $20-30 per hour depending on experience.

Edit: This position includes 6 paid holidays each year effective immediately on hire and one week (40 hours) of paid vacation after one year of employment and renews each year after that.

AIM is currently looking for an individual to fill a sheet metal HVAC foreman position. We are primarily looking for a field foreman but there will be detailing opportunities also. Prior experience as a foreman running projects is preferred. This position is signatory with Sheet Metal Workers Local #45. This position includes a company truck and a phone.
