🇺🇸 Memorial Day looks a little different around here…

Would we love to take the day completely off? Sure. But sometimes the work still needs to get done — and with the kids home from school, that means loading up the toys right alongside the equipment. 😎🚜 (It’s a bonus when the little enjoys “working” alongside us!)

That’s the reality of a family business life.

Some are about people. 💚

Today wasn’t about how much money could be made — it was about helping an elderly customer regain her backyard and bringing life back into a space that had become overwhelming.

It’s not fully there yet, but progress was made… and sometimes that alone means everything.

Moments like this are a reminder that the work we do goes beyond mowing, cleanup, or hauling. Sometimes it’s simply about helping where and when we can.

We’ve also had customers ask how they can help others in situations like this, so we want to share that anyone is welcome to tip forward or add extra onto their bill to go toward helping those in our community who may not be able to afford certain services but truly need the help.

Small acts add up. 🌿

Continuing to grow, learn, and invest — both personally and professionally.

Today starts the journey toward becoming a Master Conservationist through Iowa State Extension & Polk County Conservation, and I’m genuinely excited for the opportunity. Brittany will be attending the class and bringing the knowledge back to Tanner and our business!

One thing that’s important to us at Fisher Services Plus is continuing to expand our knowledge, better understand the land we work on, and keep growing in ways that benefit both our business and our community.

From conservation and soil health to native ecosystems and sustainable practices, I’m looking forward to learning information that not only helps professionally, but also carries over into everyday life.

Growth doesn’t stop once you own the business — that’s actually when the learning should continue the most. 🌱

Fuel costs are shifting — and we’re adjusting with intention.
