MauBow Turnings I make handmade wooden forms on a wood lathe. Each unique and one of a kind. Jeff Bower - Woodturner Each help me decide on what the form will eventually become.

As a third generation woodturner, I learned the art and love of woodturning from my father and grandfather. Over the years I became addicted to woodturning and taught myself to become a better woodturner, eventually becoming quite talented at making bowls, vases and other forms. I use only found wood or wood from trees that have been cut down due to disease or construction. I can describe my pass

ion for woodturning as a responsibility, in a sense. Each piece of wood has its own characteristics, color, history and smell which took the tree many years or decades to attain. When I am working on a piece, I think of all of these aspects. Taking what would otherwise be burned, shredded or left to rot and giving it new life as a piece of art creates even more satisfaction for me.
