Fifteen years of dedication is an incredible milestone!

Earlier this year at our All-Company Meeting, we recognized Andrew Dale and John Deland who are celebrating 15 years with McAninch. We are grateful for their commitment, hard work, and the many contributions they have made over the years.

Work is underway on the next phase of Pavilion Park in West Des Moines!

Partnering with Landmark Companies | Real Estate, our team is moving approximately 103,900 CY of material as we continue developing this growing residential area. Despite challenges with groundwater conditions on the south side of the project, crews have maintained progress and are working toward a mid-June completion.

This project also required significant coordination with our EP True Pkwy project, as material from the northern portion of the site needed to be transported across the future roadway before paving operations began. This is another great example of the planning and teamwork required to keep projects moving efficiently!

We are gearing up to start work at the SAIA facility in Des Moines! Our team is working through demolition, earthwork, and underground utility operations as the site prepares for a major transformation.

The project includes replacing an existing 9,800 SF building with a new 48,000 SF dock facility, 6,600 SF office space, future maintenance building, and expanded trailer parking. Site improvements also include construction of 4 underground detention basins and 4 bioretention basins.

With approximately 55,000 CY of import material and more than 46,000 SY of subgrade prep and stabilization work, this project has required significant coordination—especially with the elevated building pad design sitting roughly 4 feet above parking lot grade. Last week, we attended the ribbon cutting at the new Community State Bank corporate headquarters, which now stands as the tallest building in Ankeny! This project reflects CSB’s commitment to continuing to invest in the community where their business first started.

Our team was proud to contribute to the site development work, including importing nearly 10,000 CY of material to improve the site layout and prepare the property for construction. We appreciate the opportunity to partner with such a respected Central Iowa business!

We’re proud to continue our partnership with Knapp Properties on Hidden Estates Plat 2 following the strong momentum from Plat 1.

This new phase extends the development north with a cul-de-sac and scenic private drive that will create another beautiful residential setting. With the mass grading being completed last year, our team was able to begin utility and paving work early this spring, helping position the project for completion early this summer!

We appreciate the continued trust from Knapp Properties and are excited to keep helping shape this development.

Work is underway at our 304 3rd Street project in Grimes, a new multi-family residential development transforming a vacant lot into future housing opportunities.

Our crews are completing site grading, building pad preparation, and underground utility improvements for the project. Current operations include 850 CY of cut to fill, 4,500 SF of building over excavation and suitable material backfill, and nearly 2,800 SY of paving and building pad subgrade prep.

The project also includes 300 LF of storm sewer, 400 LF of watermain, and 6 sanitary services as part of the site infrastructure improvements.
