The Burns Electric team has safely and professionally completed the Kimballton 69kV Substation Expansion project. Our team of IBEW craftsmen expanded the existing Kimballton sub with an additional 69kV transformer, transmission tap and distribution feed. The transformer, related equipment and steel was decommissioned by our team at a neighboring utility's substation and then loaded, transported and put into service at the Kimballton substation. Job well done by all involved!

When severe weather rolled through Nebraska yesterday morning, our Burns Electric crews were quick to answer the call. We continue to safely and professionally work long hours today in the restoration efforts with our utility partners. You can always count on Burns Electric to bring a solid team of IBEW craftsmen!

Burns Electric crews putting the finishing touches on a 69kV retirement project, safely without incident, while completing ahead of the customers tight schedule requirements. This project is a prime example of Burns Electric's ability to create and execute a work plan that suits all the intricate details of a project. It required working a multi-week night shift due to lane closures on a busy 4 lane metro street, two different cities due to city limits being centerline of highway, as well as railroad crossings requiring railroad protections to be coordinated. Our IBEW personnel and project management staff ensured that all entities involved were satisfied!
