MPT Plumbing

MPT Plumbing Residential service plumbing, remodels, water heaters, sump pumps, disposals, faucets, toilets, light commercial, etc. For all of your plumbing needs.

Anything from Hot water heaters, faucets, toilets, sump pumps, disposals, whole house water filters, water softners, broken/leaking pipes, and remodels. I've worked for the big companies who charge an arm and a leg. The difference between them and us is we can do it for about 1/2 price what they do it for. We will also give you rough estimates over the phone which a lot of companies won't do becau

se they want to charge you an arrival fee of 80 dollars or more to get their foot in the door. They think that you will feel obligated to let them fix it for an outrageous price because you already owe them 80 dollars. Also you get free estimates on bigger jobs. Give me a call. I look forward to meeting you and doing business with you for a long time. Thank you- Justin Tigges/owner 515-778-6777

Projects this week. Replaced 40 gal tank water heater with navian tankless in WDSM and Installed sump pit/pump and backwater valve with new floor drain on south east side of DSM. Got the outside drain tile tied to sump pit instead of dumping down floor drain. Old floor drain was broken in floor which made it a muddy mess and the sump ran non stop after we got it hooked up. They really needed one. All done under Des Moines ppp program and they only had to pay $300 out of pocket for all of it. For the haters, they passed inspections with flying colors.

The City of Des Moines will pay for you to install a sump pit/pump or a backwater valve on your floor drain in your home. The city has a program called Private Property Protection or "PPP" and they will give you up to $1500 for you to install a sump pit/pump, which normally pays for the whole job. The reason why they're doing this is simple. They want to get the storm(ground) water out of their sewers and pumped outside to where the storm sewers are. A lot of these homes in DSM have tiling systems that drain through the foundation and dump into the floor drain, which goes to the sanitary sewer. Because the sewers aren't big enough to handle everyone's daily water usage and rainwater, people's basements start backing up out of the floor drain and flooding their home. Give us a call for a free estimate; you send the estimate in to PPP and once they send you an approval, we will come and do the job. We would get an inspection from the city to make sure it was done correctly and then you would pay for the work. You then send in the receipt of payment to PPP and they will send you a check for the amount approved for. I have all the forms and will help with the approval and the rebate process. If you live in DSM and need a sump or a backwater valve on your floor drain, then you should take advantage and get this done. Give me, Justin, a call or text at 515-778-6777 to set up an appointment for an estimate. I look forward to working with you. Thanks.
