It’s time for Spring Gutter cleaning. Gutters have an important role in maintaining your home

Cleaning gutters can be a dirty job! It’s dangerous, tedious, and most of the time….. smells bad! Nothing smells worse than leaves left to rot in clogged up gutters. However, not cleaning them WILL lead to something worse.

Making sure your gutters are clean and working properly, can save you thousands of dollars in repair. These are the most common problems due to clogged gutters.
• When water cannot flow out of the gutter, it can backlog through your shingles, into your house causing damage to ceiling and walls and creating mold.
• The backlog can also cause rot to your roof, shingles, and fascia
• Water running over the gutters will cause soil erosion around your foundation which leads to the foundation shifting or settling. This means cracks in the foundation, walls and chimneys. It can even cause uneven floors.
• This also leads to flooding in your basement, with possible carpet or wood flooring damage, ruined walls and mold!
• The heavy saturated soil can cause a basement wall to bulge or collapse inward into your home.
• The full gutters also create a perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes and flies. It has also been known that birds may nest in the damp leaves.
• And of course, too much weight in the gutters will cause the gutters to pull away from the house or even fall off.

Joy to the world! The Lord has come! Happy Birthday Jesus! This day is filled with earthly gifts, but the only gift that matters, is the gift that God gave to the entire world- his son Jesus Christ! Because we are sinners, our punishment is death, and separation from God for eternity. But, Jesus was born to be a blood covenant between God and us. Without Jesus we have zero chance to live eternity with God. This gift was sent from heaven for ALL people, and all we have to do is accept this free gift. This is by far, the greatest gift of all.
