Our team at On Point Heating and Air is now participating in "Local Business Spotlights"!

We are a local business operating out of Desoto, TX but service the entire DFW. We've recently began visiting other local businesses within the community of Desoto in order to get out there and discover the hidden gems to the most popular businesses and highlight them here on our page.
We believe in supporting our local businesses because it keeps our community strong!

Today we visited Ojeda's, a Mexican favorite here in Desoto. The food was delicious as always, and it was a pleasure to be able to eat and experience all that Ojeda's has to offer!

A common misconception people make is when their house struggles to cool, that turning the AC down waaaay low will somehow make it cool faster or better. In reality, your AC system runs at the same exact pace no matter what number you set it to.

The only thing it really does it make your energy bills higher because as a result of setting it to a lower temperature, it runs longer to cool the home to that temperature.

A quick and easy step toward a more cool and comfortable home is to replace the filter in your AC unit. The filters get clogged with debris and dirt over time, especially if you have pets. You can grab a couple filters at your local Home Depot or Lowe's and keep them handy at home for when your filter starts getting too dirty.

A good rule of thumb is to change your filter every 3 months, or every 2 months for pet owners.
