Destin Water Users experienced an unplanned emergency on one of our water mains near the 300 block of Gulf Shore Drive today. We apologize for this inconvenience. Those who were affected should have received a blue door hanger stating they are under a Precautionary Boil Water Notice. Service was restored just before noon today. Staff flushed the lines in an attempt to remove any contaminants that may have entered the mains. Residents are encouraged to flush their lines internal to their residence if there is any discoloration. Samples to ensure the water is safe will be collected and we anticipate clearing the PBWN Friday morning. Should you have any questions, please contact customer service at 850-837-6146.

Destin Water Users has issued a PBWN for 115 residential units around 300 Gulfshore Dr. due to a line break. The 6” main serving these properties was shut down to facilitate repairs to the broken water main. Pending sample results this PBWN should be rescinded on Friday September 4th.

Destin Water Users has issued advanced notice of a PBWN for 75 residential units of Mossey Cove on Tuesday September 1st at 10:00am due to a line break on a privately managed water system. This was issued as a precaution to the affected customers since the main will be shut off for a plumber that was contracted by the HOA to make the repairs. The main will be flushed and sampled when repairs are completed. No critical use facilities are affected during this work. Pending sample results this notice should be lifted on Thursday September 3rd.

Destin Water Users has issued a PBWN for 16 single family residences on Lagoon Dr due to a line break. The 2” main serving these units will be shut down to facilitate repairs to the broken water main. Pending sample results this PBWN should be rescinded on Wednesday September 2nd.
