PROJECT SPOTLIGHT | IDEAL SHIELD BUILDING B OFFICE
This one hit a little different.
This space, located at the Hispanic Manufacturing Center, is where Tanya had her first corporate job right out of high school, working for Carmen Muñoz at Muñoz Manufacturing. It was where she was mentored by another strong Latina woman making her mark in a male-dominated industry.
So, coming back into this space 30+ years later as the general contractor to help transform this space felt pretty special for the team.
This project challenged us in different ways. Working within an industrial environment required us to operate on another level, think differently, adapt, and problem-solve at every turn. With each project, we strengthen, sharpen, and learn from the challenges.
We are grateful for the opportunity with Jesse Venegas and The Ideal Group Group family. Truly family.
From an empty shell to a bold, functional workplace ~Building B at Ideal Shield is just about complete. 🏗️✨
We were proud to bring together OTHER WORK Architecture, Engineering, local trades, a few small subcontractors, and gave Xavier Ali hands on project management experience to deliver this build-out.
The finished space brings together open work areas, private meeting spaces, new openings, bathrooms, custom millwork, collaborative areas, and some pretty unforgettable design details, including the cool yellow ceiling installation made from their bollard material. 💛
This project is about more than the finished space. It’s about a full-circle, mentorship, creating opportunities for local talent, and building spaces that carry forward the stories of the people who came before us.
