Where do we start… Knight Transfer lost a dear friend and teammate yesterday, Clayton Schlicher. Many of our clients know Clay because he would consistently go out of his way to meet you and ask if there is anything he can do to make your experience better. That was what made Clay… CLAY! Clay was a one of a kind person that came to Knight to work with a great team and to contribute in any way that made us all better and he absolutely did that. He made our team better and would consistently go the extra mile to show our clients that "we are the best".
Clay was dedicated, intense, caring, generous, selfless, dependable, hardworking, funny, resourceful, thoughtful, skilled, loyal, a passionate people pleaser and so much more. His intent was to always try and make our clients say WOW! We would always smile (and dispatchers would pull their hair out haha!) when superintendents would call in for service and ask us to send Clay back. He was that kind of person. Clay understood what makes us special and he always did his best to exemplify that and he truly did. Clay was a drivers driver and would always go out of his way to give advice to new drivers. He was personally invested in the Knight Transfer Team, and a place we are so proud to know he called home.
Although we will miss Clay dearly, the positive impact he had on our team will carry on as we remember his legacy and how much he cared and gave to the KTSI Team.
