Limb spreaders: sometimes a tree needs a bit of help growing in the right direction.

Limb spreaders allow us to guide the branches, without having to make additional pruning cuts. This can save years of growth and set up trees to bear fruit sooner.

We leave these in for a few months, until the branches “remember” their shape and the spreaders can be removed.

We prefer reusable metal spreaders, which we order from

Each season, we’ll host a workshop that explores what practices to follow in a home-scale orchard and share tips & tricks for success.
